Is there a trial version?

Afraid not. Currently it is unlikely to receive one. Essentially it would be too much work for a constantly updating engine.

And ofc, if you do buy it, don't hesitate to reach out for support, either here, Steam or on Discord. Discord is easier to handle issues, faster response times, and easier to guide you through the issue bit by bit, such as if we need your project to debug the issue. But we will do out best to help out where ever you decide to ask it :)

Easy to just DM someone the zip file, they go through it and help you out that way.

In the mean while, you can check out some of the current published projects to see what it is capable of. You seen mine here in the Forums (I did add a new one to that thread after you responded there).

There are some Game Demos on Steam (links can be found on Discord #Games), and we also just had a ARPG Metroidvania gamejam, so feel free to check out those entries (also on Discord, with my entry is also available here in my Complete Games Thread).

I will definitely keep that in mind! I'm going to check out games made by others on shared on Discord too. I think I'm gonna open a thread for my first gamedev project with this software soon
